Well, our presents are opened and joy is beheld (except for the boys who keep fighting over their toys). Ethan got a Buzz Lightyear action figure (bulky sized so it stands better) and a Batman with a Bat-cycle (same bulky type). Victor got a bunch of small, squishy’ish toy trains (those, but different types of trains) that instantly went into his mouth for taste-testing, and a pop-up toy (it doesn’t even require batteries! yay! – we’ll likely donate it to our dr’s office when he’s done with it because of that).
I got Ken a variety of things: a whole bunch of video games (yay ebay!), a router bit set that he kept calling “awesome”, and a roller stand for his workshop. This morning I’m having delivered a sheet of plywood and some 2×4’s to get him started on building said workshop – he doesn’t know about this yet, so shhh!
Ken got me a foot spa (it self heats, yay!), a dutch oven that I’ve had my eye on, and a bunch of stuff that I’ll need to start my soap making (not everything, and he copped to that, but all he could get at a store). I’m to get the rest online.
We’re having a leisurely day, otherwise. Last night I bought us a snowblower, with some monies we got at the big family Christmas last weekend, and Ken and I nearly killed ourselves hauling it up the driveway. We need gas and oil but at least we can dig out the driveway – just in time for it to warm up next week so we’ll get a fresh start on winter (hopefully). It’ll be nice to not have to make multiple trips up the driveway with grocery bags, that’s for sure! One trip up gets us quite winded.
And so the day’s excitement is mostly over. Small this year, but nice in that. I’ll be trying out my foot bath tonight and Ken’s playing his new video games and the boys are fighting over their toys. All is well in our home. Merry Yule to your home, too.

I’ve been eyeing that dutch oven as well. Santa Tim needs to get us some new cookware.
I’m glad that you received the package. I thought of you while I was making the pumpkin butter so I just had to send you some. The cranberry orange chutney is good on toasted bagels or used as a glaze over baked chicken.
