I’ve just received a package of books that had been highly desired by both myself and Ken.  Mostly because it contained the missing Ai Yori Aoshi (manga series we’re reading) which the previous book indicated was when things really start to get exciting.  I’ll be reading it this afternoon.

Amazon, as usual, had a deal on and to take full advantage of free shipping and a free book I ordered 2 others: Wuthering Heights (an old favourite of mine), Vanity Fair (looked interesting when I saw the first few minutes of the movie so I stopped watching and figured I’d read the book instead – quite a long book, it seems!), and Elizabeth Zimmermann’s Knitter’s Almanac.  Now, I expected to jump right into Wuthering Heights or Vanity Fair, but I’m thinking the Knitter’s Almanac will be the read of choice.  It’s not a typical pattern book (wherein you have a few photos and knitting instructions), but rather more like a bunch of letters, written monthly, that include instructions for knitting specific things.  She’s got a very down-to-earth, personal style of writing and I think I’m going to enjoy it.
