Batch #2 is done and cut and now drying.  The mold worked great, but I need a better liner as the one I used left rather noticeable wrinkles in the edges.  I must have calculated wrong on the physical dimensions of the batch, since instead of making 15 bars (3.5×2.25×1″) I have 12 (3.5×1.75×1″) plus some extras from the ends.  The bars are about 3-3.5oz each, though, so it’s not a loss.  I’ll have to reconfigure the recipe (aka write a new one) next time.  The smell is really nice, though.  Feminine, soft and delicate, not too floral or too fruity.  For sending out test soaps I need to decide if I’m going to send out the entire bar or if I’ll cut them down further.  They last a really long time, and cutting down would mean more testers.  Hmm…

I’ve picked a name for my “company”.  Whole Mountain Soaps.  I’m working on a logo design, I have paper to wrap, and then it’ll be off to the post office to send these babies out.

I hope I’m not fooling myself into thinking that this could work…

Stop selling yourself short! You never know how something will turn out unless it a go. :)

I like Whole Mountain Soaps. It just sounds you.

I would cut test samples at least in half unless you want to know how long a bar will last.
