Not arrived yet, but I haz pikturs! I’ll admit that going back to the store made me love it even more (the furniture) and now I’m even more excited about delivery day. Only 5wks to go. ugh.

First we have the fabric colours. Largest is the main colour (on each side), two strips of colour in the middle are the pillows (3 of each for the couch, I don’t remember about the chair). Of 4 pictures I took this one’s the best, but as usual colour palettes never show right on screen as in person. We almost went with the darker colours (seen on the showroom couch) but they wouldn’t have looked right in our living room. Thankfully we got the fabric protection plan which covers even “human bodily fluids” – something we didn’t think we’d need until recent events proved us wrong. I’ve also been training the boys to only drink fluids at the table – kool-aid stains are not kool.

Next is the couch itself, modeled by our lovely assistant, Victor. As you can see the colours we chose are very different, but you get the idea. The couch is larger than we thought but I won’t complain. It’s super cushy and has a nice deep seat. Ours also won’t come with that attractive tag.

Here’s the couch without our lovely model. We will also be getting a matching chair and ottoman.

Here’s the reclining love seat. Colour is as shown and matches the dark “spots” on the couch pillows.

It also has a deep seat and each side reclines separately.
Our lovely model, however, isn’t as crazy about the extra feature of the love seat….it lays out almost flat.

Love seat without our lovely model.

I’m thinking maybe we should paint before it arrives, so I’m hoping we can get the dining area painted next weekend (pretty small space) and then decide on a colour for the living room. Either a darker green than the dining area or possibly a blue colour. The curtains match the dining green (a lightish leaf green) so we have options.

Ken’s pointed out that, given how big the furniture is we’ll be able to blockade off the living room from the kitchen should we need to restrain the boys – until they learn how to climb over the backs, that is.

Ooooo, those look comfy! I’m jealous. I’ve been wanting to replace my sofas for a while now. I really hate sleeper sofas. :/
