FINALLY!  Ethan is willing to eat again!  Not just willing, but eager to eat.  He *asked* for breakfast, and lunch (early) and his snack (early) and then more snack and then more still.  It’s like he’s revving up to grow twice as big as he is now, and I’m SO PLEASED WITH THIS!  Seriously.  Getting him to eat is like trying to teach to park a car; all he wants to do is sit and push it around.  For months and months it’s been us begging and cajoling and threatening and bribing and ordering Ethan to eat.  If he had his way he’d eat junk food once a week and be done with this “food” nonsense.  I will say, though, that over the past few months he’s been willing to try new foods.  He tried a lemon crab salad I made (and thoroughly liked it).  He tried stir fry (not so much).  He’s even learned to drink from a straw!  I’m going to be milking this growth spurt as much as I can.  Enough, I’m sure, that he’ll become thoroughly sick of food and not want to eat anymore.  But for a few days… for a few, glorious days, he’ll love it!

When my son was small, I was absolutely beside myself with his picky eating. Now he’s eight and begs me to take him out for sushi. The raw stuff. It’s amazing how they change.
